hey all i am looking for a sealed boxed for my subs to go in my vt calais now the Vas for one of these sub is 72.5Liters if someone can design boxes i would like some to draw up the plans for me and i buy them
145 litre for 2 12" subs sealed? I think that might be for ported mate that = about 5 cu.ft or something huge.. maybe something like 1.3cu.ft each is better for sealed?

wow thanks heaps mate
Too easy, its a little on the small side but those subs dont mind a small enclosure (1 cu.ft. each minimum).

ok thanks heaps mate just had a look at your wagon sub set up looking very nice just wondering if u can tell me what your running for ur hole setup speakers amps that sorta thing
sorry got a lil side tract what should i use as sealent on the inside and also is it worth putting that white stuff(filling) in the sub box and should i divid the box so theres a wall in the middle of them or just leave it as on chamber??
Haha, my wagon used to have 2 x 15" subwoofers and a 4000wrms monoblock. Ive got Digital Designs DDC 6.5s in the front with a 2 x 150wrms running them, although now ive sold the subs and mono. Was good for 151db in SPL comps.
Anyway, use PVA glue for glueing the MDF together, once youre done doing the joins run a bead along the inside to seal it off. If the subs sound a little "hollow" you can add acoustic filling to give the subs a deeper sound. Dont divide the box up, IMO it just takes up space and makes no difference, especially when youre running them off a monoblock or bridged outputs of an amp. (Both subs see the same signal, as opposed to speakers which receive a L and R signal).

Nope, thats going to be much harder to build and get tuned right, if your not confident then its best to stick with sealed. I'll make you up an enclosure for 3 12s tonight as i dont have time right now.

Alrighty, if you want a sealed box for 3 of those 12s, just extend the width from 80cm to 110cm (hopefully that fits in between the strut braces?) and extend the depth from 30cm to 35cm.
That will give you a box volume of 3.3 cu.ft. after sub displacement (1.1 cu.ft. each sub).
So as far as the cutouts go, obviously the front and back panels change from 800mm x 350mm to 1100mm x 350mm and the top / bottom changes from 800mm x 300mm to 1100mm x 350mm.
The side panels also change from 318mm x 268mm to 318mm x 318mm.
3 x 12s, what amp is going to power them?
