Active subwoofer

i know how these setups work, but has does anyone know how good they actually are?

I know that fusion have a setup where you can hook ultiple ones up together, but yeah are they work it considering they go for 250 and you could buy 3 with the cost of making other boxes for normal woffers plus woofer and amp and stuff

What are we talking the small active subs designed to be mounted under seats, like the Blaupunkt, Vibe8 ect, or just regular sub boxes with pre-attached amps?
