It has been covered before, but i CBF'd searching
You will need two removal tools, or two pieces of thick coathanger wires bent into "U" shapes. Insert them into the 4 holes (2 on either side) and push outwards whilst pulling towards you if that makes sense. Here is the tools you'll need, it also shows a picture of how you should insert them:
VT VX Commodore Stereo Radio Removal Tool - eBay, Other, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 21-May-10 11:16:10 AEST)
To install the new single DIN unit you'll need a "pocket" which goes underneath the stereo:
You might as well buy something like this:
VT VX Commodore STEREO KIT dash pocket + wiring harness - eBay Accessories, Cables, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 25-May-10 16:32:11 AEST)
Just do a search for the installation of the new unit, its been covered a few times on here and its not the easiest of processes for a novice etc.
