Supid question???

In my vx Calais the rear speakers are not producing any sound now I am not an idiot but are they just for bass or is my speakers stuffed and if so what should I get that's cheap?

The Calais have 8" subwoofers in the rear parcel shelf......are these the ones your talking about, or the rear door speakers?

Yep they are factory subwoofers, designed to play bass only.

Pull the connections from underneath

Or just pack ur shelf with foam to cut the shaking a bit

i tried holding down the shelf but it seems only on is working and rattling for some reason i want to disconnect it for the moment you know,

where can i get some good subs or what do i have to do to get some speakers back their

All subs will rattle stuff mate, though you'd probably notice it alot less if they were in a box in the boot. If you already have back door speakers there is really no need to put speakers in the parcel shelf too.
