hey i have a vy base model ute but for some reason my cd player has a fader option. Does this mean the head unit has been replaced with one out of a sedan/wagon? i need to replace my battery but i am worried that i will need the code, how do i go about getting it?
Not sure about the fader part, maybe it was just activated?
Unless you keep 12v at the battery while changing it (can be done with jumper leads on the terminals when swapping the batteries) then yes, you will need the code. If it isnt written in the book then you'll need to go to your local Holden dealership.

Removing the battery shouldnt reset the stereo, so you shouldnt need the code. Ive disconnected my battery a couple of times and havent needed to put the code in
The stereo well hold its code.. In fact there smart enough to remember upto four different installs (from memory)
Cheers,
Dave
As long as you don't change your BCM, you won't need the code.
"Nonsense, this is the kind of coverings what we humans wear at this period of time. I'm quite sure of it."
