Exclamation Problems installing my head unit!

hey every1 Where can i get a good adaptor or wiring harness for tha head unit of a VT from? I got 1 from supercheap but it was shit i couldnt get any sound. I finally realized that some of tha wires were in tha wrong place, tha blue was going to nothing. I pulled it out n changed it to tha aerial wire but still no sound. Any help would be appreciated.

Using the VK-VZ wiring colours thread, here is what each wire should connect to:

    Red - Yellow
    Yellow - Orange/White
    Black - Black/White
    Blue - Yellow/Red

    White - Tan
    White w/black stripe - Grey
    Grey - Light/Green
    Grey w/black stripe - Dark/Green
    Green - Brown/Black
    Green w/black stripe - Yellow/Blue
    Purple - Blue/Orange
    Purple w/black stripe - Blue/Black

Check the wire colour / location in plug of each wire, then follow it through to the adapter and see if it matches up with the colours above.

If you wired it wrong first, then you could have killed the amp in the head unit.

^^ nahh QLD man. I pulled all tha wires out of tha harness and put tha head unit wires straight into tha plug but now i found a blown fuse in tha blue wire so i will buy 1 2morrow and see if it works this time. I have all tha wires in tha right places, if it dosnt work it must be tha head unit. When i pulled it out of my old car it was fine? so i dont know.

The blue wire is for the power antenna, if its disconnected then it wont affect the sound output. Only radio reception as the antenna dosent go up.

Sounds to me like a blown amp inside the head-unit.

Maybe look into getting the new unit fitted by a pro, alot of shops wont warrant a blown internal amp if youve installed it yourself. All i takes is one of the speaker wires to touch metal (earth) or touch each other while the unit is on.
