hey gut i had a look in the search but couldn't find one so here is my question
i have just gone through 2 amps trying to find out wat is up with it i have a 4 channel and when i have it running it gets a loud squeaking like noise only has to be on for about 4 to 5 seconds i have pulled down the whole car and cant find a lose wire but i decided to pull the rca leads out and start it then noise stopped (obviously) but when this noise starts the amp goes in to protection mode my question is do u think the rcas are under the power rating or it earthing out i am at a loss for it all
Are all your earths rubbed back to bare metal? Could the RCA's have rubbed through on any metal surfaces and now be 'shorting' ?

yeah i have gone over all the earths they are good the are bak to bare metal and soldered the only thing i can think of is when i changed the amp is the rca has fowled coz i have had the same amp in the car for over a year and it has worked perfict that whole time just started when i changed the rcas and the amp so i went back to the old amp and it is still doing it
and all speakers are pioner the deck is sony and the amp is a sony i think
