I pretty much know jack about car audio but I am just wondering if this is any good for the price or not?

Under powered amp, low quality sub, factory tuned enlcosure.

On a tight budget, buy used gear.

This combo in a vehicle the size of a Commodore, would be seen as a very bad choice in component selection, as far as value for money is concerned.

Not necessarily a tight budget, just trying to make life easier for myself because I don't know anything about car audio. What sort of power amp should I be looking for for a commodore? What sort of sub?

Well, the size of the vehicle play's a huge part. Obviously you can imagine the difference bewteen installing the same sub in say a Barina, and a Commodore.

A lot of people install cheap sub/amp combo's, only to be dissapointed by the performance/output.



Honestly for that money, a set of amplified 6x9's, or 7x10's ect, would offer similiar, if not better bass response than that sub package, and would also offer full range sound increase aswell...
If your not looking to spend say any more than $500, then i would suggest upgrading your in-car speakers, rather that messing around with a cheap sub combo...
