I'm looking at upgrading the HU in my VZ Berlina and still want to be able to adjust the height of the aerial, especially when on the highway etc. It's been a while since I last purchased a HU, but I gather they still did not have the option to adjust the aerial. I was wondering if there was a some kind of controller on the market that can be attached?
No, theres not a head-unit available with adjustable antenna controls.
AFAIK theres no easy way to create a switch to control the antenna height. Although what i have done in the past is suggested the customer to get a head-unit with a dedicated power antenna wire (most of these will retract the antenna fully when listening to any other source than the tuner) or use a simple switch to control the antenna (on = antenna up, off = antenna down).
But seeing as your Berlina already has the wiring antenna in place, im sure there would be a way to wire up a momentary switch (with two buttons for up and down). But i havent come across someone wanting this so i cant help with that.
150db in a commodore =
I wrote some basic instructions for VT/VX Berlina to add a 3-way switch to still adjust antenna height... So if the VY uses the same colour wires, it will still work. You just have to find it
