i think i need the 2 keys to get the headunit out but i dont have them, is there anything else i could use to get it out?
what model is it? i thought there was some of the alpines u didnt need key's for? could just use small flat blade screw driver to lift the clip with?
can u take a pic of it with the face removed??
If the mounting frame has been screwed into the factory mounts, you will need to remove the head unit from the mounting frame. Normally, some small flat bladed tools are provided, but anything you can fit down the side will basically work. I bought a large bag of paddle pop sticks for this purpose, because if your not careful you can mark the h/u, interior plastics ect using any metal item.
You need to pop one side out at a time, then the h/u will slide out.
