    Default Sub Wiring Query?

    hey hey im worling my way through my install of my new audio gear, a simple question i am running 8g from my 1200w mono to my soundstream subs but what do i do on the inside of the sub box?? from the connection block how do i join the wires to it ?? and does this need to be the 8g as well ?

    The connection block should be able to take 8AWG cable? If its too big for the connectors then you'll need to cut the copper down abit so it will fit in. 8AWG is overkill unless your chasing SPL or are running several thousand watts rms.

    Ideally, the wiring inside the box should be the same size. But if you cant do that then dont worry too much, chances are you wont hear the difference.

    ok koool no worries i think i can work it out now thanks a heap, just gotta finish make the amp shelf and weld all the aluminium together and run all the wiring,
