ok, i have a Kicker CVR 12 (800 W 400 RMS) and is connected to a Jensen mono amp 900W sumtimes when real bassy songs are on and the subby is going nuts, it cuts out is it couse my amp cant handle it ? if so what do youse recomend that isnt too much $$$
You will probably find that its because you haven't tuned the system properly. Turn all 'bass boosts' off and set you gain to the right amount. Any mono amp can handle any sub (assuming impedance match) as long as you tune it properly.

im going to say... your ground is not good enough.. or your amp is not getting enough power... a capacitor will help a little.
A capacitor won't help at all, it doesn't make power just stores it, and not bloody much either.

a cap will help a LITTLE... will stabilize the voltage a LITTLE..
but i would be looking at your earths before i go out and get a cap, also make sure you amp is not overheating.
amps cut out for 3 main reasons..
poor earth, not enough power (wires not sufficient/voltage drop too great) and heat (overheating)
thanks guys i will have a look at it tomorow
