Hey guys, been awhile since ive been on here!
Ive got a question, ive bought a Kenwood 1200w 12" Sub (KFC-W3012)
Kenwood - KFC-W3012
and a Kenwood 350w Amp (KAC-M525)Kenwood - KAC-M525
Now from what ive been told about wiring, there is a maximum wattage each wire can take, is this true? and what would be the best wiring to use and/or wiring kit? I'd rather use wire able to take a bigger amp if i decide to upgrade too. Thanks Guys.
8AWG will be fine for power /earth with that amp. Its only 175wrms when bridged so 8AWG will handle that no problems.
As for speaker cable (going from the sub to the amp), 16-14AWG is fine.
Heres one suitable:
Ryda Car Audio - Aerpro AP955A 400 Watt Amp Wiring Kit 8GA
150db in a commodore =
So just an average wiring kit will do the job fin? Thanks for the reply
