Default Advice on 6x9 Speakers in VZ Sedan

    Hey everyone

I'm looking at putting some 6x9 rear speakers in my VZ sedan. Just wan't to hear some thoughts from people who already have 6x9's in the rear of vt-vz on which speaker to use. Looking for some good bass sound from them. Im only running the stock head unit & I will be running an amp on these speakers with a line converter for the amp. Any thoughts guys?

if your running a sub don't, cut the holds out of shelf and whack the thin tin thinks out under shelf. But if your just running 6x9 on an amp, get decent brand. haha had to many sonys xplode on me (dying on me anyway)

Thankyou to everyone for their input. I ended up buying a set of JVC 4 way 6x9 Speakers for the rear shelf that were on special. Just need to ask a couple of more questions about fitting these in.

    1) I got a set of speaker grilles for the rear parcel shelf. Does the parcel shelf need to come out to fit these grilles or can I cut the cutouts for the grilles in place there.

    2) I am going to fit an amp with speaker level inputs. Can I tap into the rear speaker wires to feed the supply for the amp with the rear door speakers still working without damaging the head unit & amp or am I better off disconnecting the rear door speakers alltogether. I was hoping to have the rear door speakers working as well. I'm not too worried if there not working anymore.

Any help out there would be great guys. Thanks.

Well for question number 1, you need to take your parcel shelf out to put the speakers in, plus it's probably going to be easier to cut the cutouts for the grilles. It would get really uncomfortable trying to do it whilst it's in place. As for question number 2, just disconnect your rear speakers, there's no reason why you need to run 6 speakers all at once. It would be overkill.
