    Default VT Set up idea.

Now that tax time is coming around, as well as my birthday I can FINALLY put some work into my car.

Starting out with the stereo system.

For the headunit I originally planned on having a double-din but it just seems impracticle.
I wont use things like GPS & TV.
So I've decided a single-din headunit, probably Pioneer (if you can find a better brand or have a better idea let me know) of corse iPhone compatible, USB all the fancy pancy shit (My budget on the units $150 - $250)
Underneath the headunit. 3 gauges (oil pressure, cooler & volts)

As for the speakers I am unsure.
Not going a sub so 6" in front
    6" in back doors
& 6x9s in rear parcel shelf

Opinions on this & ideas please

heyive got a vt this is my 2nd one
one had a double din, current one has a single, the only main difference was that the double had the fancy look when people see it.

as for the sound the first one only had the front 6" and the 6x9s in the shelf and it was quite a good sound was happy with it.

the new one has 6" splits in front, 6" in rear and a 12" sub in the boot, all running through an amp and its an amazing sound, i ran all the wires myself so i know its all done properly and the quality is so much better than i expected.

both systems came with the cars and i didnt touch the first one but the 2nd one i pulled apart completly and re wired everything up and it sound amazing.

as with the 3 gauges i saw it the other day and i was thinking of doing the same thing adds a nice look in my opinion.

Only think I can tell you is pick either rear door speakers OR 6x9s... Don't do both, it's just stupid. And if you're going to have subs, don't bother with 6x9s... So subs = yes, get just rear 6" or 6.5"... Subs = no, get 6x9s.

I do have another quick question, this kinda isnt audio but....

The 3x gauges I am looking at putting under my stereo. How much am I looking at for that set up?
Someone told me it'd be about $250 for the gauges, wiring, and installation?

    Anyone had it done?
    Know what I am expecting?
