Default Suitable AMP for typre R alpine 6.5" speakers

    Goodaye

Just wondering if this amp would be suitable to run two sets of alpine type R's or just one set

    ALPINE MRP-F240 V POWER 4/3/2CH AMPLIFIER

    Thanks

Not really... The amp is rated at 40Wrms per channel and the speakers are apparently rated at 110Wrms... You're falling a little short with the power.

Look at the Alpine site for a 4 channel amp with more power... It won't take you long

Look for a 4ch amp with MORE than 110wrms per channel at 4ohm. It's likely to cost you a pretty penny though buying alpine

To get the most out of your speakers using alpine gear ,you want something like http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=74 or http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=79
http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=75 will do, but will be holding them back slightly.

If you want to save money you can get a smaller 4ch or 2ch and just run the front speakers off the amp.
OR, if you want to save money and still amp all 4 speakers, look outside of alpine. Something like http://shoppingsecure.com.au/index.p...d&productId=37 will power them all nicely

I can also discount the Option Audio amp for you if your interested as well. Its got enough power to run your splits AND a sub so its great for future upgrades
