hello friend,
your post is unclear. you firstly say "when in the amp is going into protect" and then say "nothing makes it work so power comes on". Please clarify - does it remain in protect?
generally, if the protect light turns on that would mean the remote wire is connected and assuming power, ground and sub are connected correctly, then one must reach the conclusion that your amp is cactus.
My apologies

Have you changed any speaker wiring? Maybe a speaker wire is grounding somewhere.

the REM(remote) connection is ####ed basically, screw is so threaded that when placed in my amp is in protect as it wont tighten to enable a proper connection and be on power

its a lightning audio sub i think its the promo sub, not 100% sure tho, the amp that was powering it atm was a lightning audio amp b2.300.4
This amp? Lightning Audio B2.300.4 Car Amplifier - Car Amplifiers - Shopping.com That isn't nearly powerful enough to power a sub. Could well have cooked it trying.
Is one of these the sub you have? Lightning AudioŽ : Product Details Lightning AudioŽ : Product Details They are the only 12" subs on their website, although that amp isn't mentioned either.
Can I suggest this amp Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - Option Audio OAX502 if you are up for a replacement? It doesn't give RMS power ratings on the Lightning website, but this would be perfect for a basic sub, either the single 4ohm, or the more powerful 2x4ohm
