Joe has them available - Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - Micro Precision Z Series 2-wayThe cone is derived from a blend of organic substances including clam shell and other stuffs, which underwent compaction under high pressure. The result is a solid and rigid cone, and yet extreme light, quick and accurate. It is protected by a thin aluminum foil that is hand glued over the front and back of the cone itself using the latex of pine tree. Such protection is capable of caring for its crunchy nature whilst not diminishing the basic attributes of its being rigid, light and quick. As a result, the energy generated from the voice coil is genuinely reproduced without bias.
The latex of pine tree is used to avoid chemical reaction ( if chemical glue used ).
The Newton's Third Law has been applied in the construction of this speaker. As a result, it produces low Fs and wide bandwidth with an incredibly wide frequency response . This enables the tweeters to be run as high as possible, well in excess of 6 KHz.
There is no dust cap as the cone is a one complete piece design. There is no cover for the magnet to allow the maximum dispersion of heat from the voice coil so as to sustain stability of sound performance. Unlike other cones, Z Series cone has uneven surface ( like the mountain, curvature of surface) because in the course of production, the speaker is connected to computer, engineer is using his both hands pasting piece by piece while looking at the computer to adjust the resonance when pasting the next piece.
For a small price of $15,000
Gotta love them Germanysthings they come up with.
Deck: Alpine 9887
Speakers: Hertz HSK165 XL
Amps: Audison SRx2, SRx4 & Alpine M350
Subs: 2x Alpine 10" Type S
Yeah I have had a look at them before, I don't know if my hearing would be able to differentiate between this quality sound and a $500 set of splits quality sound.
Wouldn't you be dirty if you bought these and you lost a SQ comp to some ordinary pair of speakers.

Had one inquiry from a salesperson at a BMW dealership who didn't put their correct email in the form. Tried calling to find out if it was legit but he never got back to me. He existed but never called, poor guy.

Yeah I know, but I can imagine some moron with too much money and little brains doing that exact scenario.
Instead of starting a new thread for a simple question. Do you think making fiberglass enclosures for door speakers is worth it? Better mid-bass? Just basically replacing the factory 'basket' with something that has the rear on the speaker completely encloses like a sub.

no not a good idea, most car audio drivers are designed to be run in a door. if you want to build a sealed enclosure it will need to be a lot bigger. You are far better off just ensuring you have properly sealed and deadened your doors to maximise midbass output.
I am in fact in the planning phase of build some sealed enclosures on my doors to fit 8" midbass, but am aiming for a volume of around 16L. but the reason I am doing this is I am using DIY drivers that are particularly suited to a sealed enclosure. should be a fun project![]()
Thanks 2LOUD2OLD.

I'm using 8" in my doors soon as well. Unless I can source some tremendous midbass drivers like the one from the RE XXX or some of the Impact ones from Italy. Such a dillema... complicated 8" install... or stupid 6.5" install... but I want double midbass!!! The frustration!
