help with tacho

Hi, I just installed a typeR taco into my vc holden and now when the car is running my car speakers are making popping and crackling noises, the tacho wire is running to the negative on a bosch gt40r coil, any ideas?

Was there a condensor (small cylinder type thing) on the coil before you wired up the tacho?

no, ive just run the green wire to negative on coil, theres nothing else there, stereo was all good untill tacho install

Hmm, well i'd try purchasing / installing a condensor for either the coil or the alternator (or both).
