Hello my friends.
I want to connect a speaker straight to my iPod. So i only want one speaker to get the sound off in the car. Now if i connect a regular speaker then it will be pretty quite even if i turn the volume 100% on the iPod, so i would need to amplify it somehow? What are your thoughts on how to put this together?

Wire your up your amp to the speaker normally, then put in one of those 3.5mm aux male to red male and white male plugs. Put that in the amp and your set

um yeah?
those jaycar kits are reeeealy simple. just need a soldering iron. there is a radio signal device you can get that plugs into the ipod and sends a FM signal out (86.8mhz or something) you just tune your radio in.

so, buy and install some speakers, and add an amplifier?
or, it would probably be cheaper just installed a cd player and speakers.
what car is this going in? why doesn't it have any speakers?
is it that you don't want a headunit? have nowhere to put one? can't afford it? or don't think its worth it in an old car?
that doesn't answer the question.
well buy some crappy amp like this
Mini Hi-Fi Audio Stereo Amplifier Car Motorcycle 12V - eBay Amplifiers, Audio, Video, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 24-Aug-10 04:46:30 AEST)
get some speakers from a compact home hifi system, and wire it up.
that is correct.
but you need to connect power to the amp as well.
buy some ear phones
