VZ Head unit is out

So I've gotten my VZ's head unit out, but now i cant get the replacement panel in due to the stock stereo's "holder" as seen in this picture (its not my picture). The holder is still in my car, the picture is just to visualize what part I'm talking about (its the dark outer part in that picture).

How do i go about removing the stock stereo's holder?

u shudnt have to take of teh casing form the stock head unit the aftermarket one should just click in
was the pannel u got made for vz becasue i believe vy and vz are different so make sure it a vz one

send details of wat part u got paart no. need or mayybe a pic

It says fits VZ on the box. Its an Aeropro FP9046. Its strange, because my headunit (JVC FD-R705) wont even slide through the hole? Unless im supposed to just slide the headunit into the big gaping hole there at the moment and sit the facia over the top of it? I's confused
