Question vs stato boot install questions? boot struts remove and replace?

hey guys a quick question, has anyone moved the boot struts to the side a bit more ive brought these brand new 12"orion subs and the box they came in is a fraction to tall and wide (its the proper orion box and they sound mint in it so i dont wanna change the box) im considering moving the struts to the outer side of the hinges but im still not sure if this will be enough to clear it looks like they are just hitting on the brackets that mount the struts.

whats the biggest box anyone has fitted on top of the hump in the back of a commodore?

any help will be much appricated..

Dont know if i'd wanna go to the trouble of re-mounting boot struts to accommodate subwoofers

Why not just mount it towards the rear of the boot (near tailights) if you dont want to modify the box? With the subs facing rearwards it'll probably be louder.
    150db in a commodore =
