Saw this link pop up on the forum.
Seems appealing, especially with the inbuilt amp and the price of it.
Anyone used this before?
I'm worried that i cannot try before i buy as it's on ebay.
12 month warranty too though.
Opinions?

so, i'm assuming no one has had any experience with this sub?
might steer away then.
Looks like some shop down in VIC gear. I would stick to tried and tested brands. $200 for a sub and amp and enclosure and wiring kit is really cheap and in the end you get what you pay for.

Fusion does something similar for around the same ( a little more) $ and alpine also does one for a LOT more.
Hey mate,
i bought 2 cannon subs from ebay. went hard as... Lol smash the back window in my rodeo. They were xlopd brand (xlopd not xplod). From memory i bought one for about $200 buy it now and i got the second one for around $75 with postage.
thanks fellas.
bpenfold83: how much are we roughly talking? i want something that fits comfortably and doesn't fail me haha.
undersuspicion: do you have any links or anything mate?
Why don't you just get a normal sub and amp and a behind seat box like this, Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists - Ute Subwoofer Box - Suites VN-VS & BA Utes

thanks mate, link was really helpful.
i'll deff look into this.
A mate of mine has one in his ute Tim and its great. Yes, this sub is on the cheaper side (i would'nt exactly call $200 cheap), but it does the job fine, and sounded great to me. Of course if you have more money to spend, then go for an Alpine or a Fosgate. In my opinion, spend the big money on your speakers and don't go overboard on the sub. I mean all the sub does, is produce very low frequencies, and every sub woofer i have heard sounds the same. The speakers is where your quality sound is.
no, its a powered sub. Just needs a power source from the head unit and your ac cables
If you're waiting until next year, why don't you save for something decent? If you don't want to spend much, look at second hand... You'll easily find a decent normal sub for under $100 and decent 2 channel amp to power it for around $100, then you just need a box and the same wiring you'd need to hook this dodgy sub up.
Those subs will make bass but not much and they won't play very low due to the tiny enclosure.
thanks mate, i am so new to all this audio stuff. learning as i go thank to people like you haha.
thanks for the info mate, i was sent a link a few days ago and saw a site that sells boxes and subs. i think thats the way i am going to go. save up a bit of money, maybe a 12inch sub and amp that will fit under the passenger seat and hopefully a new headunit and some half decent speakers too. thanks for the advice mate.
