Greeting mates
I am trying to replace the factory stereo with modern model.
While I was browsing through the Internet, something caught my attention as long as I dreamed it, it is Holden stereo upgrade solutions I tried repeatedly to contact the company to inquire about this stereo, but no avail. Did anyone try this model? or another type with full functions?
This is the website

umm that isnt a stereo, it is just a tool to remove the factory head unit
Just take your car to your nearest car audio shop and get a new unit fitted, this is the easiest option and can also save you money if you dont know what you're doing and break / blow something up.
The link you provided is a tool as 2LOUD2OLD suggested above for removing the stock unit that you have in your car right now.
I especially like that eBay seller though:
"If you need VX, VH or VT remove keys please ask me when you take this item"
150db in a commodore =
Really
what about the youtube video which is posted down
Probably did not understand the subject well. Any how guys, what do you advice me to have 2DIN unit in my car with full specifications.
Thank you all
in order for anyone to properyl suggest anything you need to provide us with a few things. first is a budget, the other is what do you want out of your head unit? do you want bluetooth, navigation, active crossovers, eq,.... etc?
Actually, I have open budget and I need to have high quality 2DIN unit with LCD screen DVD/VCD/CD/MP3/MP4/DIVX/AM/FM/GPS navigator/SD card reader/AUX input/ USB input/ Bluetooth..and of course with high quality sound. I think those will satisfy me and will allow me to keep pace with the modern models![]()

If you knew what half of those abreviations were, you wouldn't be posting here for advice. You simply cut and pasted that from somewhere. There isn't a single usable function out of those features which relates to audible quality, and goes to show just how little effort you have put into researching prior to posting here.
Take the advice from the others that you have been given, and visit an audio outlet.

Calaber thank u mate I think auto pilot is good feature also
aazn I will look for that model in the audio shop
HCVP I have posting here to get advice because I'm not an expert in audio systems, moreover I'm looking for stereo with full features that I need and easy to fit with My VY Commo. You know mate how hard is it to select stereo to fit my car's model. Actually, I'm confused since of my past experience in buying a car stereo.
I will try to visit a big audio outlet very soon
Thank you all
Most head units in the same price bracket, usually have the same features. So in most cases it would come down to which one you like the look and feel of the most. Play around with the unit's, you might find one easier to navigate through than another.
You need to think a bit more about what is it you want/need out of a head unit. You mentioned DVD, do you really want/need DVD? If you have kids ect, and are thinking about adding rear screens, then sure. But for most others, the novely of having the ability to play DVD's, usually wears off in less time than it did to install the unit. If you think you might fall into that category, then there is a lot of money to be saved there.
What do you picture yourself doing most with your head unit? If it's simply listening to the radio, playing a CD, and maybe connecting the odd portable device, then these are all basic features. Unless you need something else specific, then most people (myself included) see anything else as basically being a uselss gimmick.
Even when it comes to GPS, personally i would prefer to have a more portable solution, tom tom ect, which can be put away when not in use, and transfered between cars, such as hire/rental cars when you are on holidays and so forth.
I don't want to rant on too much, but guess what i'm trying to say is, don't spend anymore than you have to, on something that you may not ever use. Especially if you have some sort of plans for upgrading any of the other components, saving money in one area can make a huge difference when you have it to spend in another. I mean if you use it once, and never again, was it worth the extra money?. Don't be lead into thinking that if a head unit has more features, like DVD bluetooth, and autopilot (lol), that the quality of audio you hear, will be any better, as this is not the case.
If you decide more closely on what you need, we can help you further. There is no point in saying i have an open budget. If you say this to a salesman, then they will simply walk you over to the most expensive unit they have in stock, without even taking your needs into consideration first. I'm not a salesman so i won't give you the bum steer![]()

I have to admit mate that you are completely right but, some times when you need to have some thing urgently needed or you wish, you don't think about the cost or about what you really need (like me). Experience plays a real role in this time.
This time I will think deeply in your advice and I will decide after analyzing.![]()
