    Default VT Exec Speakers

    Hi guys,
I want to put some splits (alpine type R or Kicker ones at the same price(cant remember name!)) in my car, currently will be running off a high end pioneer headunit (deh5150ub) im just wondering where to put the splits, i want a stealth install so i dont want to screw them into that little piece of plastic at the top of the door for the side window demist. i was thinking of putting them in the vents were the original ones are but an just wondering how hard it is going to be to wire them up and where should the cross-over go? im handy with a soldering iron and have wired up my house for hi-fi, worked in the live audio area and am not afraid to get my hands dirty!

    Thanks Matt

    not hard at all..

you can very easily run speaker wires into the doors (i did mine in under 3 mins each side using a long cable tie)

to get to the standard location tweeters you access them from the side, open the door and remove that side vent panel and unscrew the top vent.

sweet, so all it is is those screws there, i guess i can just tape the crossover somewhere either in the door or up under the dash on the plastic there....
