Hi everyone just run into a problem with the car audio install.
Put in a Pioneer DEH4250SD. 4 stock speakers to the head unit. Problem I have is when I have the speaker wire for the front left in the Pioneer head unit NO sound comes out. When I remove the wire then I get sound from the other 3.
Could this be a stuffed speaker? It was working before......
Any help much appreciated
Most likely the speaker wiring for that speaker is touching ground somewhere. Pioneer head units will mute the output when a speaker wire is being ground to prevent damage to the internal amplifier.
Can't think where. It is the original speaker wire and soldered on to the Pioneer harness and then taped up. Very odd indeed had another look at the wiring and can't find a fault unless something has changed on the speaker end. Might have to try a whole new speaker wire.
