    Default Vs sound system question

Im wondering my Idea is to run 3 amps 2 subs and 1 for speakers, my question of curiousity is will my alternator be able to handle about 1800 watts (thats predicted amount the whole system will probably be pulling)

Any info will be appreciated thanks

First is that 1800 watts RMS or 1800 watts max?

I was running 2000wrms on a stock 100amp alternator and Holdenboy was running 5000wrms on his stock VS alternator, so I guess the answer is yes.

Nah you won't fry it. Maybe the regulator might have a shorter life but I doubt it. I run a single D34 Optima, but it did used to run off a Bosch Gold.

You can get a 2nd battery if you like, this is especially good if you like to play your stereo with the car off. It would also be good for reducing light dimming and stuff because the stereo has twice as much power to draw from. But you don't 'need' one.

A big 3 upgrade would be a great idea too mate and the stock alt will be good.
