So I've gotten the dash off, got the tweeters and speakers out.. But cant work out how to unscrew the tweeters, theres a screw on the back where it screws into the bracket with glue around it but i dont know if its worth me going down to get some glue remover or not (tried terps and nail polish remover aswell, also tried heating the glue up with a lighter), just thinking maybe there will be glue that's been screwed into the back of the tweeter when the screw went in. Anyone had any experience with this situation?
As you can see in the pic, the glue is that yellow crap around the screw.

Yeah all the ones i do have glue on the screw, making it hard to undo and use the bracket......i assume thats why you want to remove that screw?
I just make up some new brackets out of the steel straps you get with some head-units and central locking kits.

When my mate and I upgraded his speakers we just ground the screw heads off with a bench grinder, worked like a charm.
Yeah true, either that or put the tweeter in a vice and drill the screw head out![]()

Thanks guys, ended up getting them out.. Took them down to the local mechanics and some guy was nice enough to lend me his drill. So yay, although after taking them out one screw was too long for the new tweeters, and one was a completely different thread! lol, fun day...
