Mounting VS door pods to VN door trims without the speaker box?

Eh, I FINALLY managed to get some VR/VS door pods (they're not the metal grilles so I'm assuming VR?) but the guys at the wreckers didn't give me the boxes with them 'because they're riveted to the door'. So for $60 I got the pods still attached to the trims, but without a definite way of attaching them.

What I was thinking was using two sets of the Jaycar 6" speaker risers stacked, then the speakers screwed into those, then those screwed into the door itself, but if there's a better way then I'd prefer not to.

I've searched both on here and on the SC forum but the SC forum is a mess and I can't find any appropriate topics here.

I also bought some VR door skins with the pods attached and no mounting boxes.

I bought two new boxes from Coventrys. GMH Part numbers 92048681 + 9204 8682 (L+R) They were about $30 each, something like that, can't quite remember. Not too sure how you will go not using these, but I'm sure you can make something up but these fit perfect first time.

I just removed my VN skins, took the pods off the VR skins and laid the VR skin on top of the VN's and traced out the hole and marked where the screws for the pod go. Cut out the trim with a stanley knife and peeled that off, drilled a hole then jig sawed it out, drilled small holes for the mounting screws and the pod went straight on. Aligning the speaker mounting box took abit of dickin around but just take your time and once it's screwed to the door it's all downhill from there.

Thanks mate, how do I get in contact with Coventrys? I'm from NSW, do they have multiple dealers or is it one location?
