Recommendation for 2DIN DVD/LCD H/U

Hey all,

Just trying to get the stereo sorted in my car.... 2000WH Stato. Has the standard stereo which is pretty good for what it is, however i'm kinda missing ipod input and the fact that the stacker in the boot skips over light bumps...

Looking for a 2DIN DVD/LCD Screen H/U with external video inputs (want a reversing cam later on).

I also need a recommendation for some speakers... My Budget is around $2000 for the H/U and (at least) front speakers.

I have an alpine type R 12" sub 500wrms ready to go in also. (part of old system)

Had a look at some alpine decks the other day but after recommendations.... Should i go a flip up screen or a straight flat double din... also, would prefer something with a volume knob trying to change volumes over bumps via touch screen input is LAME

Also after something that has Digital Radio (if possible?) Not a huge MUST have but it would be nice

Whilst i know you guys sell quality gear (Having spoken to Joe in the past about a system), I am not so sure about DNA's products and definitely would not trust myself to buy a DNA head unit, unless you or someone else could convince me otherwise.

In the past i have had their products fail, and whilst warranty has been OK.. 2 out of 2 of the products i have used by them have failed. (granted both were circuit breakers) but from what i understand they're not that reliable of a brand.

For the short term mainly would look at buying a Headunit, 2 front speakers + Tweeters and power them from the H/U until i can save for a decent amp. Unless i can work out some gear that will suit for under $2k (tax returns are awesome!)

Bit of a price difference if i was going to buy that H/U, I can almost justify taking the chance at $595

Pioneer AVH-P4250DVD in dash 7inch dvd screen, no rotary volume but its an actual button and a far superior unit than the dna 5.8. The audio output from the dna unit is very poor.
With the price you could also get a very nice pair of splits and 6x9's as well as an amplifier to run the sub.

Just to confirm i have an amplifier for the sub, it's also an alpine (500wrms) to the sub. So just need something to power front splits, a headunit, and of course the front speakers.
Not too fussed about the rear spears for now, I'll work some products out and post back here for everyone to yay or nay

i am also looking at getting a double din dvd player and have been looking at the eclipse avn726ea, reviews have been pretty good but will wait until i see one in person before i buy one.
