VE commo sound system

hey guys I have a VE commdore and about $2000 to spend on a sound system. my only question is, is a headunit really necessary? there is no real place to put a headunit in the ve commodore unless you put it under the heater controls, although then you loose passenger heating. Is there anythign else you can do to accommodate this? or should I just not get a head unit.

btw its a 2009 ve commodore sv6

People have put them in the glove box, but it's very hard to reach over so you need a remote, and even with the remote you need the glove box open, so that sucks also.

My advice is not to get a headunit, there are heaps of threads on here about this topic, so try a search.
