VR Sony head unit antenna problem

Ive searched for this both on google and these forums and haven't found anything.

Have had a sony head unit in my VR calais for 2-3 years now and it has always worked fine in regard to the antenna only going up when I switch it to radio. When I have it on aux or CD the antenna will go down.

A couple of weeks ago I had to get a new alternator so there was a brief period where my car completely died on me while driving and this is where the problem began. After getting that fixed my antenna now stays up all the time on every mode (cd,aux,radio) and I can't seem to find the problem. I can't find it in the menu anywhere through the headunit.

does it go down when your turn the car off?

if it doesnt then the problem may be in your antenna..
listen to see if the motor is still working as it may also be the mast.
