Amp problem, has power, "Alarm" light stays on and no sound from sub
hi guys i just installed an option audio 1000w sub and option audio amp as recommended buy the lads at autobarn. Amp was working fine now its no working at all and the "alarm" light is on, amp gets realy hot checked the fuses and checked the wireing connections and all seem to be fine, can anyone help me out?
donno for sure maybe your overpowering dats the problem mine had or could be that your power cables arent thick enough (eg u might have 8gauge when you should have 4 or 0 gauge power cables) but most likely overpowering the amp, hope it helps

Ok start with some basic info and checks. Firstly what size cable are you using? Is you ground grounded properly, with the ground point sanded back to bare metal, and where is it grounded? Have you set your gain properly?
