Hey guys installed a Headunit in my car about 3 weeks ago, i used a aerpro loom i think it was which went from the holden connected to bare wires and then wired the corresponding wires up to the plug for the head unit, I'm having 3 issues with this, first is the unit isn't powering up when I turn the car on (I have to hit the source button to get it to turn on), second issue is that the Headunit isn't saving my radio station presets, and finally the aerpro loom didn't have the antenna wire so I'm not 100% sure on where it goes to. It's a pioneer unit not sure of the specific model but it had Bluetooth, aux in, 3 RCA pre-outs and can change to 10 different colours i think it is (not sure if that will help). Any fixes would be really appreciated! thanks!!

there is a wire from the stereo that is 12volt memory this needs to be connected to permant power supply to work
i would fix above first but i think there may be an ignition signal aswell (depends on your stereo you bought)
not sure what you mean by where the antenna wire goes?
there are 2 antenna wires from the headunit plug and there were none on the aerpro loom, was wondering which connection on the stock plug this needs to be attached to (planning on buying another loom and using parts from it to complete this one) I have a thick yellow power which i connected to the labelled power on the aerpro unit, if it would help i can take some photos of what i mean.

the 12 volt memory wire is normally only a small wire like a 3mm wire or less
the big one is correct or it wouldnt turn on
only one radio aerial plug should be male and on your radio should be a female socket it fits into
u have to swap the yellow and red wires around which are you constant power and accesories power.
with the aerpro looms the yellow and red wires are the wrong way around.
doing this will stop it from resetting every time you turn your car off
for the antenna.. it is the blue wire on the aerpro loom.
if you cant find this wire then you will need to manually find it.
get a test light, put the clamp on the constant (yellow) and probe the loom untill the antenna comes up, when you let go of the loom, it should come back down.
use this wire and wire it to the blue wire on the back of the pioneer unit.
one of the wires on the back will be for amp and other for antenna
make sure you use the antenna one so when you change to CD, it will come back down.
ah sweet as! hopefully thats all thats wrong haha! i've connected all the aerpro looms wires to the corresponding wires on the headunits plug, there's nothing left over for antenna power![]()

just thought i'd say the wire switch from red to red and yellow to yellow to red to yellow and yellow to red solved my problem. Thanks a lot axemurderer101 and aazn!
