gday guys,
look at putting a 5 channel amp in (front splits, rear coax. and sub). Im running a pioneer avic head unit with only two RCA pre outs, and the amp demands 3.
basically how should i go about this, i don't suppose there is a cable that goes 1 positive and negative RCA into 2 positive and negative?
and even then i wouldn't be running it properly as the head unit couldn't adjust fade or anything, not that its necessary....
anyway just after advise and oppinions and what not.
cheers guys
RCA Splitters, 1-female to 2-male, you will need two and you'll be fine. Any store with car audio gear should have them.

Personally if you have not bought the 5 channel amp then I recommend buying 2 amplifiers. One amplifier for the sub makes a big difference because a 5 channel amp has one power supply and this reduces the sound quality or i like to say the bass quality you hear from the speakers because the sub draws more power than the 4 speakers combined which reduces the power to the 4 speakers quicker than having two independent power supplies for the speakers and subs.
If you have the 5 channel then yes a pair of rca splitters you connect to the rear output rca wire you run to the amp from the avic unit going into the rear input at the amp and the sub input will still allow you to fade from front to rear but it will also lower the volume of the sub when you fade to front. It means you still have sub control but lose rear speakers as well when you start fading to front.
A pair of one female to 2 male rca splitters is what you need. Connect the two rear left rca plugs from the splitter to the rear left speaker input at the amp and one sub input. Connect the other 2 rear right rca plugs to the rear right input at the amp and the other to the remaining sub input.
