Hello once again,
Me and a mate were going to install a jvc head deck into were the factory blaupunkt was. we found that there was a plug not just a bunch of wires so my dick head mate decided to cut them from their loom. so now i have a bunch of wires hanging around and am completely oblivious to what wires are what.
please help me out with wiring colours etc. and no they arent the same as the ones posted on this website. im after the colour code after the connector plug is cut.
p.s my mate got a mad face slap for cutting the wires.
sorry officer..thought you wanted to race.
i should of told u early that with the plug u can pop it forward cos i try to install a deck 2 but sorry i cant help u wit the wire colour
Can you resolder the factory harness back on?
The only other suggestion is give you mate another slap just for being a douche.

can someone help me too, im in the same boat. but i still have my plug on there. can anyone help me with which slots are what?
oh and if it helps im installing a double din dvd head unit.
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
if you still have your plug and dont know what your doing.. go down to supercheap/autobarn and get an ISO plug to wire it in.. will be a much neater install.
i have my plug still intact, i also have an adotor plug to suit the VY plug. im left with a bunch of wires hanging out and not sure what wire does what.
all i need to know is what each slot in the VY plug does, that way i can connect the wires out of the headunit to the VY plug.

ill just let yous know i finished doing all the wiring myself with out the adaptor plug. in the end left alot more room for my rcas cables etc. i just got the speakers colour codes from another post on this site and did the accessory and main and that using a test light and trial and error. saved me $110( getting strathfield to do it) and i didnt have to buy and adaptor plug.

The easiest way is to get Holden to remove the deck , they shouldnt charge you it takes 5 seconds with the right tools.
If you cant get to 1 or they want to charge you then try it yourself.
I use 4 bits of steel rod that just fit in the holes down the side of the deck.
They need to go in about 2" then pull the rods outwards and the deck will slide out , it isnt an easy task.
Once out you will need to remove some dash to make way for the new facia.
PART # AP 9045
When complete it will look like the 1 below.
1. Remove deck
2. 1 screw below ashtray at a funny angle needs removing , also the rubber tray below the ashtray.
3. Remove center console that includes the power window switches (CARFEULLY)
4. 2 screws at the bottom of the facia.
5. Using a small flat blade pop up the plastic panel or gauge pod on the top of the dash.
6. Remove the 4 screws under that panel.
7. Facia will now slide out towards the rear of the car.
8. 1 screw in the rear of the deck cage and 2 at the bottom.
9. Squeeze the top and bottom of the cage together and slide it out , while uncliping the wiring harness from the rear aswell as the aerial plug.
10. Replace all the dash and the facia will now clip in.

Yellow = accesories
Black = earth
Brown/white = illumination
Yellow/red = elec aerial
Yellow/black = mute
Dark green & light green = front right (Dark Green -)
Tan & grey = front left (Grey -)

Brown/black & yellow/blue = rear left (Yellow Blue -)
If you can get a wiring harness that has ISO DIN plugs to the plug for your deck it will be alot easier.
Part # APP 7201
If you get the Aerpro plug you will to swap the red and yellow wires
You will also need to buy a 1M aerial extension cord , this plugs in at the kick panel and runs to the new head unit.
