So I will be running 2200w rated soon and wondering if this capcell will be a decent battery/cap for in the boot: SCELL-1000
Soundstream Capcell
Wow thats a lot of money for nothing. As long as your wiring is good, you have done the Big 3 upgrade and your alternator and battery are in good working order, you car will easily handle 2200w. I run 2000wrms with no problems, and another member was running 5000wrms with stock VS alternator and just an Optima battery. If you really want too than run a second battery in the boot.

I found a place where I can get it for $180 so it's much cheaper than any other complete batteries. It's a cap and a battery so a bit of both.
We know what it is, but why do you want it?
What are your amps?
Do you have 0ga cabling through the car? Even from battery negative to chassis?
Yeah will be 0g throughout. Amps are Soundstream DTR1.2200D and Soundstream DTR4.500
Or would it be best to go for an optima yellow/red/blue in the boot?
You shouldn't need 2 batteries or expensive (flux) capicators or anything silly like that for 2000wrms.
Make sure your wiring is perfect (do the big 3 as mentioned), and I can do you a good price on an Optima Yellowtop to run it all.

Yeah fair call. I found an Optima yellowtop here: http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/sh.../4357/d34.html
Reckon you can do a better price on that?
Wouldn't it be better to wire this battery in the boot parralel to the original battery?
Actually the blue top is the exact same price: http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/sh...4359/d34m.html
That has extra terminals so I could wire in parralel easier.
I've had a 3200Wrms system and just ran a yellow top as my under bonnet battery. Had headlight dimming but I don't think it could really have been fixed with that much current draw.
Best thing to do is to install the system and see if you actually have any power problems, THEN fix them them.
philthy from Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists can do you cheaper than that price you have listed..
also.. ive noticed that a cap is useless..
Yeah but If I'm getting another battery anyway then wouldn't it make sence to run both?
I run a DTR2200.D and a DTR4.500 aswell , u wont need a cap if u have right cable.
At most i get a 1v drop when its pumpin really hard
i have 0guage for batt, alt and amps ground side, 0guage to distro, 2guage to 2200w 4guage to 500w
