Recommend a 12" sub and an amp to power it

I'm looking at getting a single 12" sub and an amp to power it. I want one that's nice and punchy and gets a good amount of bass, budget is $200 max for the sub, and $300 for the amp, about $500 total for both. I'll probably build the box myself. Recommend me a good combo!

It's for a VR Sedan, to be boot mounted. I hardly know anything about audio, so any advice would be appreciated.

There is a bigger amp than that one as well for not too much extra if you really want the bass overpowering the rest of the music

Philthy: those look alright, don't really want the bass to overpower the rest of the music at all times, but at certain times/certain songs, killer bass would be excellent.

I'd suggest that sub mate, at $300 its really really good. Excellent SQ and will still play nice and loud. Unsure on an amp though, must be 1ohm stable to get the most out of the sub.
