Hi sorry ihave read all the forums but still cant decide on which speakers to put in the front?
i wont be connecting them to an amp straight away but will eventually so i need something that will keep me happy for a while. Although i think anythoing will be an improvement on the stcks that it came with. whata the go with holden with their crap audio gear????
any suggestions would be a great help
thanks
I noticed poor sound in my VZ, I threw an aftermarket headunit in and the stocks sounded so much better. With no amp. So unless you intend on keeping the headunit stock id suggest going to an aftermarket headunit.
How much do you want to spend?

yeah im keeping the headunit as stock too hard and expensive to change.

its a VE.. not as simple as a VZ.. will cost you over 1000 to put in a half decent headunit.
it is a new car so try keeping everything stock..
since its a ute,are you planning on running a sub later down the track?
i personally would be looking at running a very decent set of speakers.. look into Shopping Secure - Car Audio Specialists
as i would be looking at the AUDIO DEVELOPMENT AD6 speakers..
i knows it double your budget but its a really nice set of speakers.
since you will not be running back speakers (unless the VE utes have back speakers) i dont think getting a entry level set of speakers up front is a very smart thing to do.
Thanks aazn yeah ve compared to vz is very different. Not sure aboutthe sub I was waiting to see what the splits are like. And no there is no rear speakers Inthe sv6 only Inthe ss and ssv models.
if there is space for the rear speakers why not put some in the stock location... abit of work and you can get speakers in there..
never paid much attention to audio on the SS commodores.. always doing alarms/sensors on them.
just make sure you get a decent set of speakers up front, if you get a nice set of speakers up front and are able to get some 6*9's in the
back, or even 8" subs (not sure what can/cant be done)
and get a decent amp for them (under pass seat). with a set of 6*9's they will create plenty of bass if installed and tuned properly
even with 8" subs tuned properly would sound amazing... i personally would go down the 8" sub route if i where you and able to do it with some work.
but it all depends how deep your pockets are and who wears the pants in your relationship... you can wear the pants but she may have some string tied to your jewels
