Should I buy these component speakers?
I really want some speakers that hit good notes as I am aiming on doing, well, truly just an insane audio in my car.
So...any suggestions on anything I should buy in terms of component speakers/amps etc.
I already have a sub I just need good speakers and a proper monoblock for the sub.
Oh and....will these speakers do a good job? Ta.

Well your going to have to spend more than a hundred dollars if you want 'insane' audio. Also $100 for a set of Rockford splits, sounds way suss to me.

Yeah I will have a look at the feedback and see what they say...
Feedback seems to be rather positive...it is from overseas as some people made me aware yet nothing says they arent real.
It is still suss though, not sure what to do...

I highly doubt a company like Rockford would sell their products on eBay. I remember seeing in the dealer contract something along the lines of no products may be sold online. So yeah there most probably fakes. Or some one might not value their dealer privileges.
Edit: Yeah definitely fakes. There's no such speaker in Rockfords line up and the logo isn't the official Rockford logo.

Yeah I looked at his feedback, but I personally would stay away. If you look there are a few feedback that have been revised. Also the fact that he can sell Hertz splits at a $150 and everything else for substantially less than stores, just adds up to suss to me.
Also I'm sure that most of the buyer who are buying speakers from eBay for $100 are first time audio buyers who probably wouldn't know a fake if it was staring at them.

We know Joe is legit because others on the forums have bought from him and all went well. And don't worry about the brands, SPL Dynamics have had a good name for quite a while, and through a bit of Googling it seems VIBE have made a pretty decent name for themselves in Europe (Europe has got a pretty huge car audio scene), FLI are made by VIBE.

They loook just as good to me...I have heard nothing but positive feedback about that site so I think I will be more inclined to buy from their.
Just a query, sorry if I sound...stupid, but it does come as a pair doesnt it? Like both sides? Just unsure :S
But other than that, thanks for making the recommendation...I think I will use this site instead of EBay for trust factors of course.

Yeah I understand, we all started somewhere. I bought my first 'system' from JB Hi-Fi and paid about $2000 fully installed. I wish I had seen sites like this at the time because I could of easily saved myself about $1000. So basically ask questions because there are quite a few people here who can help you. Also most of my knowledge about car audio I got from this site. I knew jack all when I signed up, now I have installed most of my own gear and made my own sub boxes.

Hi All - just saw this thread - looking at the same items on ebay - I notice that the dealer has a number of other items which appear to be discontinued stock - for example Rockford Fosgate Punch P162S 6" Inch Component Speakers (eBay item 190492864073 end time 21-Mar-11 16:25:26 AEDST) : Cars, Bikes, Boats. These were certainly a genuine model carried by RF - but they were released in 2004 (I think) and no longer current.
This guy seems to sell a bit of stock and has a good rating - has anyone had any experience with this seller? Buying old / discontinued stock and then selling off at heavy discount seems a common ebay business model - not sure what the warranty implications are though.
