headunit that features tv capability

Anyone found a head unit that features tv capability thats any good?

seen hundreds of cheap headunits with built in digital tuner on ebay and heard some horror stories about their quality, can get my hands on a 6" pioneer LCD headunit with av input for $600 which i could find a cheap tv tuner and hookup via AV on it.

Anyone found anythign they'd recomend?

your best bet is to do some research on the units your looking at. i have a lilliput screen built in analog tuner, had it for a good few years now, worked fine back when i first got it. i bought it for the vga input and touchscreen capability.

the poineer lcd units are decent, a few mates have them.

lol i bought an eonon twin din unit
plays dvds data cd etc etc
but the hertz for the tv reception is for hong kong and all i pick up is sbs
lol just chuck a dvd in i reckon
OH the 7 inch screen is very clear too... was only 250 dollars and i used an ISO connector so no dodgy wiring
very cheap and effective

Witch model did u get and how's the sound quallity on it? I am looking at getting one but not sure yet as I have read that there are plenty of dramas with units not working on delivery & all that.

pretty much any headunit that has AUX in with the 3 rcas (L R audio and a video plug)

i have recently put in a clarion tv unit (digital) into a car and the quality blew me away... it was atcually really good..

not cheap at $800+

um.... sound was missing low db so still put a sub and amp in from jaycar response 250watt now the qaulity is really good
personally i dont think you need an ammp with these 60w x 4 ones as long as your speakers arent rooted.
model d2210 is the closest one they list now.. but it was 250 ish and had to pick it up at the airport customs
that was an inconvieniance.
