Boston G5's

I've been looking around lately online, not really intending on buying anything, but just trying to stay in touch with what's going on while i'm not actively involved in the hobby.

Anyway's i'm interested in learning a bit more about the Boston Accoustic's G5 subwoofers.

Can someone please tell me -

When was the first G5 released?
How many variations have their been?
Has the G5 line been discontinued?

i believe the G5 came in dual 4 or dual 2 ohm coils, yes it has been discontinued, not sure when it was first released though

Hey 2LOUD, i knew their was 2 different voice coil arrangements you could get, what i meant was - When the G5 was first released, until now has it remained unchanged?

I'm finding some threads on the net back to 97 mentioning them. Any idea on the replacement is going to be?

the G3 is supposed to be the replacement, though not sure if it is really in the same league as the G5
