By now I think everyone knows about the brown wire on the plug behind the glovebox, however I'm looking for a better solution.
The brown wire has power with accessories, but it's possible to turn on the VE stereo without accessories on. This means I can turn on the stereo but the amp(s) wont come on.
Basically what I'm looking for is something I can tap into that has power when the stereo is turned on.
This is the pin out for the plug(s) on the stereo. Does anyone know what the AMP CNT (D10) wire is for? Could it be the remote power on for factory amps?
I haven't gone poking around with a multimeter yet but thought I'd ask here first in case someone knows.
I would just use the accessories feed the unit receives, i cant see why that would cause any problems as the amp/s need very little current to turn on.
150db in a commodore =
But that doesn't help me with my problem. The stereo can be turned on without turning the key to accessories, but then the amp(s) wont come on.
how hard is it to put your car on accessories?
just flick it on.
if your really anal about it then probe that amp remote wire (would be remote for factory amps)
