Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone can help me, have had my sound system installed just under a year now this includes DVD head unit, 6" front with tweeters, 6" back and two 12" subs running off 1000W mono and 1000W 4 channel, have a problem now when i start up the car the tweeters hum with the revs, have talked to my mates and they reckon its coming from the alternator, also when i turn sound nearly to full the speakers cut out but the subs still work, is this a speaker, amp or wiring problem. if you need any more information to solve this please just ask.
Cheers Nick
could be a number of problems..
cheap RCA's would cause the buzzing the one that goes with the revs..
clipping could be because there isnt enough power or there is a short somewhere.
sound clipping could also be because the earth has come loose/corroded.
Got some pics of the wiring job on the amps ?
Do you have a Pioneer deck ?
1 speaker may be grounding which will cause amp to go into protection.
Stop talking to mates and go and see someone who actually knows car audio![]()
Right click save as . .
Its a clarion head unit, rcas were fairly hefty price was also installed by a professional car audio guy. will try get some pics up soon
agree with everyone else, and i'd check all your earths and terminals first to rule them out of the problem
bring it back to the installer.
if you paid to get it done properly just bring it back.
