taking the panels and trim off, i know how to do all that, replacing a standard speaker also easy, but when comes to the tweeter and the crossovers with the speakers i just bort, i never have done this so wouldnt have a clue.
everyone says once done once it is easy, so looking for some people to explain to me how to do it as the instructions on the box dont help much.
what wires am i cutting, where am i cutting them, all that stuff
cheers
A crossover is responsible for seperating the high and low frequencies between the tweeter, and the midbass / midrange woofer.
All crossovers consist of the same layout. You have -
One input, and two output's.
The input is the signal to the crossover. So depending on whether you are using an external amplifier, or straight from a head unit, the positive and negative speakers wires coming from either source, go the the crossovers input connections.
The positive and negative wires from the speakers themselves, connect to the corresponding output marked on the crossover.
Let me know if your using an external amp or not, and i can do a quick diagram up in paint if your still stuck.

The exact same applies.
IN - Stands for input.
W - Stands for woofer output
T - Stands for tweeter output
You have a positive and negative for each of the above.
The decibel numbers, i.e 0, -3, -6, are just adjustments for your tweeter volume. Whichever negative output for the tweeter you use, will determine how much quieter the tweeter is.
Was it your thread in the ASR section ? I think Acarmody answered it pretty well aswell as a mad diagramhttp://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...ml#post1720058
