Cant get head unit out

hey guys.
i have recently bought a vt as a run around car. it came with a 7" LCD touch screen cd player dvd whatever else.
Problem is sometimes the screen doesnt come on, but it stil plays the sound fine. i think it might have somethin to do with it being hot in sun. cause it was workin wen i picked it up with the air con on and it had been rainin all day.
i tried to get it out to see if it was one of the wires in the back not connecting properly and also to hook some speakers out but after removing all the dash panels i could see that held it in, i couldnt get it to move.
i was thinkin bout takin it to a sound place around where i live to see wat they think. has any one else had this problem with a LCD. mine is a 'SONY AV CENTER XAV-W1. i think its a 2007 model.

Try and get some photos posted up on the area youre working in?

Look for some fixing screws behind the HU face and more than likely on the side of the HU case.

Not too clued up on that model but seems like abit of $$$ have been spent on it ... therefore probably used security screws and you'd need a special drive bit to uncrew them.

Mate if it goes in, it comes out. Your just missing something. It's either mounted using the standard mounting bracket, or some new brackets have been made up and it's bolted in.

You just need to remove enough of the centre console so you can gain access to it.

thanks. ill try get some photos up when i plan to attack it again. im gonna wait til i get another amp for the splits im puttin in, also 6x9s and a sub. the screen stil does the flicking on and off thing. stil dont know the go there. im either gonna put a normal HU in and a filler tray or save a bit of coin and get another LCD one, it looks pretty cool sittin in there.
