First up, new here, and have to say the amount of information on this forum rocks! I have come back to the Holdens after a stint with a ricer...

I'm replacing the factory deck of my VY Calais with a single DIN Alpine deck. Trying to find the single plate adapter that will suit. I have been told that (Via ebay) the colour and texture of the aftermarket plate is "close". I don't want close, I want it to look factory! So do I have to repaint the plate to get it to look right, if so what is the colour!

Enough sound deading to make it impossible for me to get the car fast enough to speed.
