    Default Budget Ideas.....

    Hey all

Im heading up sydney next weekend, and i wouldnt mind trying to get myself a amp and sub. its been awahile since i had my last decent stereo(mostly clarion gear in 1st car, 2nd had pioneer)...so im a bit out of the wot good and wot not. I dont wana spend more than $500 in total for the both. Lookin at a 12"(in a box) and a amp decent enough to power it.

Fittings not a problem(if i remebr how to been 3yrs ), will do that myself

After reading a fair few posts.... Jaycar gear seems to b the go for a fair system, and prices seem good on there webpage.

I have a vr acclaim sedan, im happy with the existing speakers(i think are stock, havnt looked) and my clarion head unit.

Wot do u think to get? try lookin 2nd hand? dont usually like buying 2nd hand thow, but i think i mite try for just the sub, and a new amp?

Or just walk into a audio shop and sya wots the best deal u got for with CASH

    cheers all
    Hayden

definately as rat says cos so many places say like JB HIFI will do you a good deal for cash and they know their stuff, cos if youre running stocko speakers that'll be the weak link, and i'd up them before even thinking about a sub and amp
    Well as I'm always told:
Thats a matter of opinion, and your opinion doesn't matter!

Nah, I reccomend calling into a Jaycar store and getting the real deal. for 500 you won't get much QUALITY at stores like JB. But, at Jaycar

A setup like this will rock your socks off!

    Amp

    Sub x2

This will leave you with enough change to make a Dual Box
You put you left foot in, your put your right foot in , you take your left foot out and you slide it all about!

Speakers i have sound very good, i dont think they are stock i just havnt looked yeah i was going to call into jaycar at cronulla and see wot they have.
I got all my previous gear from menai car audio, but they changed owners 3 yrs back so yeah im after sumthin else.... just after a bit more noise for driving as makes the long trips i do a bit more excting, i had all my previous car audio systems stolen so i dont want anythin to fancy, and lose it AGAIN!
Im probly wrong so dont listen to me
