    Smile VT commodore sound system??

Alright, I'm now the owner of a VT series II 2000 model, 5 speed manual. etc etc etc...
I'm not looking for the best sound system, I'm thinking 6'' in each door, 6/9'' on the parcel shelf, a 15'' sub run by an amp, and 2 12'' subs ran off another amp...
I'd like a bit of help with some ideas, thanks

Why do you want 3 subs and why do you want one 15 and 2 12s.?
I would recommend splits for the front.
And one 10 or 12 inch dual voice coil subwoofer.

What are you going for nice sounding music or just big bass?

yeah 3 subs from 2 amps sounds stupid.

everyone says splits in doors but i have 3 ways and sound amazing, ive also got 2 12" subs powered by a mono block and a seperate 4 channel amp for the door speakers.

advice? upgrade and amp the door speakers if nothing else, otherwise all your hear is bass if and when you add a sub and anouther amp.just IMO though.

my old car i just bought good door speakers and didnt amp them, then a 10" sub with an amp and it sounded like crap.

Personally i would go with good splits upfront, coaxils or something you like in the rear doors, ditch the 6x9's ( there pointless ) and go with 2x12" subs.

Better yet just get the best splits you can afford in the front, no other speakers, because you don't drive from the back seat, 1 or 2 subs in the boot (personal choice, though one good sub in a proper enclosure will sound better than two average subs), with an amp for the splits and another for the sub(s).

I have a kicker sound system in mine, i did all custom boot install but kicker is a bloody good sound system ( not just my opinion ) if you buy in a pack it's cheaper of course but depends on your budget of course

Mine come with sub, splits, and amp for $1000 ( installed and with 2 yr warranty ) then i did the mods myself but kicker make good quality sound system. If you get a sub dnt bother with 6x9's also, sorry if i was no help but yer just trying.

Some people like rear fill noise, so having stock speakers, or a speaker of your choice isnt a bad thing but it all comes down to personal taste.
