putting rear speakers in vr

okay so i thought id get around to putting speakers in the vr
now i have a good set of pioneer speakers that were in my skyline

i put them in the vr and used the stock wiring and they sound like shit,

so is this just a case of just running new wiring for the speakers?

what exactly makes them sound bad? distortion, crackling etc

just sound very faded and lots of distortion

what head unit are u running. same one that was in the skyline?

yep, but when i put it in the vr i used the plug to connect it up
where as in the skyline i ran all new wiring to the speakers and such
